I am not familiar with Glary. I don't know what you are attempting to accomplish with it. If you are looking for an Anti-Virus, I would recommend Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows It is a good free one. == If you have any more questions or problems, we are here. Good Luck

That's not what others say, but I wouldn't know. I think eset for about £16 per year sounds like good value.

I was aiming to zero zero my hard drive space as well, the reason for some problems I've been having with my computer are still unknown, some say it's a failing hard drive, others say it's a virus. The Glary Utilities is to hopefully rid my computer of any viruses that may be lurking.

I'm just running the sea tools for windows test on my HDD again, it was previously failing on 6% so want to see if it will now pass now that I've factory reseted it.

What do I have to do to shut this fan up! This machine cost me a lot of money and is very highly specced.

Anyway, it's working and bit slow again and I appear to be stuck in an it's updating, it's not updating loop and my fan sounds like a hairdryer. It was downloading everything since 2011 and now, and I decided to change the setting on windows update to allow me to decide what to update, and now it wont update anything. Just the checking for updates green bar and nothing more. It has the yellow exclamation mark for updates when I restart of shut down, but there are no updates! I've only had two updates and the last one was Security update KB2621440.

So aye, getting a bit fed up with all of this now.

That's the first 203 updates did. Why isn't Windows Update showing me what I'm about to update or allowing me to choose what I want to update?
