The first thing I try to remember when their is a problem with a computer is this.

Seldom is their just one problem or one cure.

Getting Restore Points to work properly dose not cause problems.

I understand all that, and I know there is a solution. My wife is just frustrated, and now it's acting worse, in her eyes, than before, with the freezing up while she's using it.

I'm just the middle man, trying to help her.

You did good. Now hopefully you don't have any problem old restore points.

Ccleaner has a section that will allow you to pick and choose which Restore Points you can remove.

    Attachment 380122
Would you recommend running Ccleaner "right out of the box" or is that too risky?

I would recommend following the instruction in your other thread. Don't be doing a lot of other things until they get you fixed. It just makes things more difficult.

You don't need to open any more threads for this problem computer.
Doing so also makes things more confusing.

ASUS laptop, freezing after having been asleep, occasional BSOD.

I wasn't going to open any other threads. The reason I opened two different ones is, it had two different issues. And I'm not getting a reply as to the results of the zip file I was asked to upload, so I don't currently have any instructions. :)

The BSOD Team are very busy so it might take some time to get back to you.

Oh I know, and I appreciate anyone's help. I wasn't being sarcastic, just stating where things were at. :)
