OK Guys, FYI.

I disabled Hibernation, set a new restore point, and rebooted. The restore point was saved after the reboot. I then enabled Hibernation and rebooted. The restore point was still saved after the reboot. I did this manually rather than using the fixit app. So far it seems the problem is fixed. Really not sure what hibernation had to do with the problem. Now I need to re-clone her drive and wipe this one.

I could be as simple as making changes and using hibernation without rebooting after changes were made.
Rebooting is your friend. A cold boot is also friendly.
