    Recovered files dont work

    I have managed to recover some files(consisting of mp3s,pictures and videos) from my hard drive which I thought were lost but I managed to get them back using EaseUS but the problem is none of the videos or music can play.I have recovered around 4GB of these files but none of them read at all yet they take space and show up as what they are supposed to be in their properties info.
    Is there a way I can read these files or are they corrupted forever?

    That is my experience too. You get the files but they are useless. I have not yet found the trick to make them work.

    Update:
    All isn't still lost for those files.
    A properly working version of them still lies somewhere in the recovered data folders it is just hard to find them mostly because all of their info is wiped out plus their origin date is unknown and they have a basic title of FILE_01 up to FILE_2400 depending on how much is found
    But I think it is still worth it.

    If you can make them work, please let us know what you did. That should be interesting.

    I yet haven't but I did find a possible solution on the EaseUS forum from the support team

    !!!PLZ HELP!!! Recovered data but cant view data??? - EaseUS Software

    We are sorry for your problem.
    Sometimes files recovered by Data Recovery Wizard could not open normally. This is because these files are badly damaged or corrupt. Overwriting, disk fragmentation, virus infection. All these factors may cause the lost data unrecoverable. MS Office files (word, excel, power point) and large file (video files) may have this problem most.
    In your case, we suggest you try this:
    As there is only one partition on your disk, please connect the disk to another computer as slave and then run our product again. Please try "RAW" mode to retrieve the files. Here is the method for you to adopt:
    1.A device list will pop up after you run 'Complete Recovery';
    2.Click the "Option" button above, and then switch to the "RAW" page;
    3.Tick the two checkbox "Recover RAW files" and "Recover RAW files only";
    4.Click "OK" to ensure, program will return to device list page, select the partition or device which you want recover from, click "Next" to continue.
    When the search process finished, the result will be sorted by file types.
    Because when using this mode, program will not depend on the file system of the partition, you need to identify your desired files and save them manually, sorry for this inconvenience.

    By the way, please don't do anything changes (overwrite/delete/format) to your partition/disk which you want to recover data from. And please save the recovered files to your partition which you don't want to recover data from.
