Backup Fails - Away Mode error - Win 7 64-bit

Just installed 64-bit Win 7. Everything works well except backup fails. The error is "Away Mode". Unlike Vista, not way to turn Away Mode off.

Suggestions? 3rd party utility? Trick? MSI board in HP desktop - now way to get to BIOS to turn off.

    Thanks...

    Maybe try this:

go to control panel >> power options

click on "change plan settings" for the plan you are using

click on "change advanced power settings"

scroll to the bottom to "multimedia settings" and expand it

under "when sharing media" select "allow computer to sleep"

For free backup image programs try:

    Macrium Reflect

Paragon offers Drive Backup for free.

Free if you have a WD hard drive.
    Acronis True Image WD Edition.

Free if you have a Seagate hard drive.
    DiscWizard

Thanks guys. Made the power settings change. However, now get this error:

"Windows cannot find the disk or network drive where your backups are being stored."

USB connected Buffallo Drivestation connected. Explorer sees the disk and contents. My other backup programs see the drive (Memeo, Reflect, and another one). I can get by with the 3rd party backups, but liked the way the windows backup worked under Vista.

    Thanks for your kind responses.

I'll try but I need more informations.Prepare both logs:

1.Download VistaForumsSysInfoTool VistaForums SysInfo Tool - Vista Forums and create log from everything (select all)

2.Run cmd.exe and paste below text into console

WMIC /output:"%userprofile%\Desktop\LOG.htm" path Win32_NtLogEvent WHERE "EventType="1"" GET Logfile, Message, SourceName, EventCode,Type, TimeGenerated /FORMAT:HTABLE:"sortby=LogFile"

when you apply will appear console and do not turn off yourself, you have to wait untill it finish. When it finish on your desktop appear LOG.htm .

Both logs from VistaSysInfo and from WMIC command pack to zip format and attache to post
