    Pe3x86.zip

    Hello,
When I installed Macrium 6 free for the first time, it downloaded the Pe3x86.zip file. Recently made a search in my pc, cannot find this file, made an internet search, could not find it. Can you post the link where to download this file - to make a new Macrium boot disk.
    Please.
    Thanks

It's probably a self extracting archive that got deleted at some point if you ever cleared temp files or temp directories.

I think you need to run the Macrium Reflect setup file (installer) again but deselect "Run installer after downloading"

Then you can choose to download only PE components:

       Note
The 'PE 3, PE 4 or PE 5 (WADK) Components only' options can be used to download only PE 3, PE 4 or PE 5 components, such when Macrium Reflect is already installed so does not need to be downloaded again. This is an alternative to the wizard found when creating rescue media, when PE has not been previously installed.

    Read through this first:

Installing Macrium Reflect - KnowledgeBase - Macrium Reflect Knowledgebase

I'm still using Macrium Reflect v5 (older version) so cannot provide more specific info.

    Hello Callendar,
    Thanks for the answer.
First, after many troubles installing macrium 6 and then 3 times updated, now its version 6.1.1225,
I am not going to reinstall a good working program, in case of need, I'll use the rescue cd I made at the first install - hopefully it works.
Second, both links in your answer lead to pages which do not exist anymore.
I will keep on trying to find this file.
    Thanks again

The file might have downloaded to the C:\Windows\Installer folder.
That folder is normally not visible.
Temporarily set your Explorer folder options so you can see hidden and protected files and folders.
Then search for the Pe3x86.zip file.

On my machine I'd look here:

    C:\ProgramData\Macrium\Reflect\Downloads

    or

    C:\ProgramData\Macrium\Reflect\

    and subfolders.

You might also look in the location DavidE suggested.

    See:

Installer doesn't copy Windows 10 PE files to ProgramData location

    Hello,
    Thanks for the answers.
As DavidE suggested - the 'lost' file was found just there.
But while I was looking for the file, and since recent update of macrium to 6.1.1225, I opened the program
and selected to make a rescue disc, the program started to do the job, there was a long download and finally it started to burn the cd, when done I checked it to boot - OK.
    Thanks again.
