Computer maintenance

Hello Forum,
Some questions here. (after that yesterday post about pc dieing ??)
1. Computer started normally, then Adobe flash player popuped window notifing about new update, firs I wanted to read the agreement, clicked on the button. browser opened, after some seconds computer froze,
mouse inoperative, keyboard ctl+alt+del inoperative, pressed the pc reset - got a black screen, had to full out the powerplug as before. After some moments attached power back, loaded rescue cd and got windows back.
Ran antivirus, windows mrt, sfc scan - Checked hardware in ctl panel, everything OK.
Any idea what is wrong ?
2. Started to defrag system disk - endless time, after 4 hours it just finished analizing phase, then predicted time to finish defrag about 6 hours. Stopped the process, made a short internet search, many answers recommended to use defraggler - would like to have your oppinion about.
Because of the last two days problems starting computer, I'm afraid to use "Timefreez" to test some programs.
Answers wil be appreciated.

Hello Motim have you run a chkdsk as well Disk Check I always use Option 2 and include the /f and /r switches.

Now for a defrag I used to use MyDefrag (am all SSD now) - cannot pull it up where I am right now but just Google it. It is quite quick but having said that most defrags are a much of a muchness the Windos feature just as good but slow as you know.

I would also be using some sort of cleaner too CCleanr is use by pretty every memebr here and you can also clear stuff up using this Disk Cleanup - Open and Use
