    New System New Questions

    Hello Forum
My computer finally dead, as you know it was a win 7 system, there fore I write to you this post.
Last days i was retrieving all of the programs (the installation files) and burnt then on rw-dvd disks.
Yesterday I got a new computer with windows 10 on it, copyed all the rw-dvd's to the new computer, before I start to install any program, shell I install first macrium reflet to back up the system, and if yes, does the previous rescue cd good for the new system or to make a new one.
Now I have to start all over learn this system.
Your answers will be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Motim

If you intend to stick with the Windows 10 System then you could take a look at our sister site, with all the Windows 10 Information you could need. Windows 10 Forums

The actual recovery disk should be OK for any backup set as it's just for starting the system, if any specifics relate to macrium, I'm sure someone will let you know

With my systems I have found that a rescue disk made for a MBR would not work on a system with UEIF bios and install.

Problem was easy to solve. I just made two rescue disk.
One rescue disk from the MBR computer and one from the UEIF computer.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello,
Thanks for the answers, but, sorry, I do not know if the win 10 is ueif (??), so I'll have to look further.
However, are my registration details to this forum valid also to enter the win 10 forum ?
    Thanks again

the sites are not linked for user names so you will need to sign up at the other site, but you should be able to do so with the same name, email, etc.
