How do I get W7 MBR system image to restore to converted GPT disk?

    Just run Ubuntu off a flash drive, you`ll hardly ever use it.

    Zorin is soo much better, or even Mint.

    Yea either that or use VMWare
    Linux grub is a pain.

    First question. MBR image to GPT:
    A personal opinion is why bother when using Windows 7 and your OS drive is not > 2TB. If you really want to then Macrium system imaging may allow you to do it.

    If you want to run Ubuntu not as your main OS then VMware is a good way to go. My son does this all the time for his studies - he needs to run C++ under linux.
