    System Restore (0x8000fff)

For some reason, when I try doing a system restore on my laptop, it keeps on saying that System Restore failed to extract the file [C:\] from the restore point.

Btw, I've done multiple System Restores on this computer today. Still failing.

Quick update, I don't think the system has permissions to write to the C drive. Don't know why...

Also I tried creating a restore point, then restoring to the created restore point, but the same error keeps on happening.

Try going in to c\rogram files\common files and rename the install shield folder to install shield old and see if that works.

Just finally realized that neither I can access my C drive either. So the thread might get closed until I need to to do system recovery on my computer.
