Use Win 8.1 system image for dual boot

I have a 60 gb backup of win 8.1 that i want to use for my dual boot on my dell laptop

HDD is 300gb 8.1 backup is from same drive.

I plan on installing vista 32 bit and then shrinking vista c: drive to 80gb

the rest of the drive i want to install the system image of 8.1 32 bit that I have.

Is there anything special i have to do to make this happen. Is it even possible to use

a system image on the remaining hdd space to create a dual boot setup.

Im guessing create partition on unallocated space and run win 8.1 winpe and install on new partition.

Is this doable and if there is anything else required for me to do to make this happen

Welcome to the forum. The simple way would be to install 8 and run VISTA on the Free virtual box as a virtual pc
