Safe to delete duplicate folders inside c:\Recovery

I have 2 folders inside c:\recovery. I understand that that folder is used by windows recovery environment. However on my pc there are 2 of them inside c:\recovery. Both folders have same contents (boo.sdi, winre.wim) Is it safe for me to delete one of the folder (the older one).

It is best NOT to do anything inside Recovery.

In normal case, Recovery is in a separate partition and locked with no access.

There is one thing you can do if you do not want the Recovery partition and need more disk space.

In most OEM PC, there is a message, upon 1st using, to ask the user to make a Recovery disc.
With the Recovery disc, it is then safe enough to delete that partition.
Recovery disc is mainly for OEM as not physical disc supplied, hence found inside the HDD.
If the HDD failed, this Recovery disc will help you to install to the stage as factory installed.

Recovery disc application only allow the user to have ONE set of Recovery disc.
Once done, the user cannot do another Recovery disc, do take note.

    This is your decision.
