TRIM check v0.7 - Written by Vladimir Panteleev
GitHub - CyberShadow/trimcheck: SSD TRIM check tool for Windows

    Loading continuation data from C:\Users\XPS\Downloads\trimcheck-cont.json...
    Drive path : \\.\C:
    Offset : 20000452608
    Random data : E4 A3 61 66 8F 1C D7 54 75 BA 35 69 81 06 28 FE...

    Reading raw volume data...
    Opening \\.\C:...
    Seeking to position 20000452608...
    Reading 16384 bytes...
    First 16 bytes: E4 A3 61 66 8F 1C D7 54 75 BA 35 69 81 06 28 FE...
    Data unchanged.

CONCLUSION: TRIM appears to be NOT WORKING (or has not kicked in yet).

You can re-run this program to test again with the same data block,
or delete trimcheck-cont.json to create a new test file.

    Press Enter to exit...
    @ThrashZone.....care to assist?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
Never seen that one before :/
Which brand ssd did you end up with by the way all your system spec's page says in ssd ?
Did you ever update it's firmware ?
Did you ever check it's alignment ?
Use free mini tool to see if the C partition is a even gb # say 250gb....

I can't remember the command prompt string to enter to check if trim is on or off
I'll have to look around for it.

    Hi,

I am trying to be very cautious, have installed W7 updated, back up created, 2nd Off with updates and back up.....none failed.

Checked a backup, restore is slow as earlier, none sfc errors.

On this messed up Windows trim. exe runs great.....

    Thanks again!:)

    Hi,
Okay here it is I guess you've already used it
    Code:
    fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify
If one has to force it on
    Code:
    fsutil behavior set DisableDeleteNotify 0

    Hi,

Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\Users\XPS>fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify

    Hi,

Should I align now or after 3rd party apps?

Hypothetically If alignment is incorrect, would I have to reinstall W7?

    Thanks.
