Windows 7 - system recovery - list disk no media

My PC was working fine, but now when I boot up it goes to Windows Error Recovery screen. In the System Recovery Options screen there are no Operating Systems listed, and in Command Prompt when I go 'diskpart' and then 'list disk' all the disks (0 to 3) have a status of 'No Media', Size '0B', and Free '0B'. It appears that my Windows installation has disappeared. please could someone help. I do not want to lose the files on my hard drive. Many thanks

Furthermore, I've just run a diagnostic test and the following Error Code was output:
    Error Code 2000-01 42
    Validation 100756
Msg: Hard Drive 0 - S/N W240LS4T, Short self test unsuccessful.
Any idea what this means, and what the fix for it is? Thanks

Elsewhere, some have recommended MiniTools Partition Wizard and MiniTools Power Data Recovery, both free versions, to help recover partitions and then data folders and files. You probably are going to have to use another computer to create usb or dvd boots with the above two portable versions of MiniTools.
