    Restored to an earlier date - files missing

    My computer got weird the other day. Mozilla was deleted and when I installed again it wasn't working right.

    Long story short I restored my system to an earlier date, which usually works fine. This time all my bookmarks and saved passwords are gone. I just went through this lost passwords thing a few weeks ago and it was a nightmare. Is there a way I can get them back?

    I haven't been happy with the bookmarks for along time. I can't seem to get them organized. Most everything is in "other bookmarks". I like to have about 6 folder that the bookmarks are stored in. For instance, if I'm paying bills I can look in the accounts folder.

    users --> [acct name] --> AppData --> Local --> Mozilla
    ditto----------------------------------------> Roaming --> Mozilla
    if those were not overwritten, your Firefox stuff should be in there.

    And how do I get it back where it belongs?

    I just realized something when I re-read the opening post. Exactly how did you restore your system? Depending upon what that restore procedure was -- your FF Local and Roaming directories may very well been over-written, meaning you are very likely starting with a clean slate.
