"There are no previous versions available" Volume Shadow Copy is ON

I am getting an error message on all my files, it doesn't matter which ones, they all do this. Give the error message in the 'previous versions' tab "There are no previous versions available" The internet is littered with posts about this problem, except they all deal with the Volume Shadow Copy being turned off. It is already turned on my computer and has been for quite some time. There is not a single post about this problem with Volume Shadow Copy already on and has been on for ages. when I right click My Computer/Properties/System Protection/Configure it verifies that the service is turned on but I still get this problem and have been getting this problem even when Volume Shadow Service is on.

Anybody know what else could be the problem?

    Hi Sylveon,
    suggest you run
    sfc /scannow and
    chkdsk.

note looking back over your threads for the last couple months you appear to have had a few problems, it might be that when you did your clean install your media was possibly corrupt.

would you like a good copy, if so, what base language please.
    (w7 ultimate x64 SP1)

from this you could perform a
    Repair Install
with no loss of personal data.

    Hi Sylveon Fetish

Volume Shadow Copy is refer as System Restore points.

At the Windows run, input Create
On top look for the "Create a system restore point" and click.

(The other method is, click Start > at "Computer" right click on "Properties"
On the left panel, click on "System Protection" and click on the "System Protection" tab.)

On the Protection Settings, look at the Available drives and check the Protection.

    Click on the Configure...
There are 3 options for to choose and select accordingly.

Also you can select the size for system restores points.

    Do read the detail.
