Personally I use a external enclosure and can put as many hdd's in it as I want too albeit one hdd at a time :) Sabrent ECS-STU35K USB 2.0 to 3.5-inch IDE/SATA or Serial ATA Aluminum Hard Drive Enclosure Case (BLACK): Electronics

A bad thing about externals with built in hdd is even if the hdd does not fail but the external unit does the data is encrypted making it useless.

A simple enclosure with separate hdd is more straight forward if it fails just buy another and the hdd is the same as before.

win 8 32 bit

Is the drive all data or is it a Windows drive? It's best to split data into very important and other so the very important you can backup to one drive and Google drive that can give you 20 big if you zip files it could take a lot more. There are other free online if you can split data

As long as you realize once you upload items to the web it is subject to the terms of use and you're giving it to the web service
Once on the web deleting/ closing an account.... the data will always be there
Which also has more disclaimers than actual benefits not to mention you'd be giving all your data to a third party

Best backup is always in or close to your hands as possible.
