Is there a way to delete selected system restore points?

I have about 50 GB of system restore points. and many of these are good that I really want to keep. However, recently (today) I got a couple of new restore points generated as Windows applied "critical updates" and sure enough, my PC went critical, rolled over and died, each of these being worthless. So, I restored to my last known good restore point from yesterday, and everything is beautiful again. I want to delete these nasty suckers, but keep the other historical restore points.

Many users just make a new restore point and then delete all the old ones, which if they had any comon sense would test before purging, but i would MUCH rather just delete the offensive restore points only. Does anyone know of a tool to handle this?

You could use CCleaner to delete individual restore points.

Awesome! I've used CCleaner on and off over the years and never noticed it could do this. TYVM

Another good tool, but not quite as strong as ccleaner, that will do likewise is WindowsClub's System Restore Points Manager. I have this as a backup tool just in case my main one is temporarily not working.
