Windows 7: Backup Desktop Folder

Backup Desktop Folder

I have successfully implemented an automatic backup of a desktop folder into the Dropbox Cloud when anythings been changed on the desktop folder. I see in the little Dropbox Cloud icon in the bottom right, next to clock that whenever anythings been changed by a family member, I left click the icon, and Recent Files comes up, and I can see each and every file within the desktop folder that has been changed. Mainly Excel files.

I have been trying to find a second cloud service to do the exact same.

I have been playing around with Microsofts OneDrive, searched for a solution and nothing came up...... except a simple physical copy & paste of the desktop folder into MS OneDrive. I could teach the family member how to do that, which thinking about it now would make a lot of sense. I can tell the family member that whenever you do anything within that one desktop folder, to copy the desktop folder by right clicking it, selecting Copy, Opening up OneDrive from the icon next to the clock on the bottom right, deleting the old file, pasting the new file.

I also still want a second automatic backup, just like the 1st but in a different cloud.

Any suggestions?

I looked at FreeNAS, but ran into a stumbling block trying to figure that out. I was stuck on the usual ISO stumbling block, but kept digging and searching and realized that I need a dedicated pc. I think a NAS on the family PC would be good, but have its own HDD would be sufficient, if that is possible. NAS' are a whole new territory for me.
