Change windows load location

I have 2 windows installations on my PC, on different drives. Now, the windows installation it loads from is not the one I want it to load from as it is an older incarnation and also it is slower.
I have gone into BIOS and selected the drive where I want Windows to be loaded from and get error message that Bootmgr is missing.

BTW - the older incarnation of the Windows installation was a drive from another machine which I put in this PC, thus 2 Windows folders.

Hope can assist as frustratingly slow at the mo.

P.S. this post may not be in the right area, please assist to right area if not.
