0x8078012D & 0x8077045D errors while trying to image my internal HDD

So recently I wanted to completely backup my HDD and decided to system image it. But an error (attached image) kept cropping up. I tried looking up the hex code of the error but the issues were in a different context compared to mine. This has happened two times already now and hence I have come here after the third time. The error has not been the same each time though as you can see.

    Hey samuria.. Thanks for replying
As of now, I am running CHKDSK /R on my External HDD but due a lot of data it is taking time. I know I should have asked after the chkdsk on both drives was done but as you can see from the images I posted, the message displayed during the first time (semaphone related one) was different to the second time (the chkdsk one). So I wanted to know if that was a sign that either the C: drive or my external HDD was malfunctioning in any way. I will update you on the chkdsk after its done on both drives
