Creating System Repair disk on flash drive

    Hi,

Is there any 3rd party software to enable creating a System Repair Disk directly onto a USB flash drive or hard disk?

    Thanks in advance

Putting it on a dedicated usb flash drive is quite straight forward
Putting the System Repair Disc on a USB stick
you can also look at Rufus

Thanks for the reply but that doesn't answer my question.
"creating a System Repair Disk DIRECTLY onto a USB flash drive or hard disk?
Directly inplies "not via some other media"
I would like to create a System Repair function directly onto a flash drive.
IE I want to do it without having to put it onto a disc in the first place.

    Here's a direct answer - No.
Make a system repair disc or download an ISO and neither is direct.

Thanks - That's what I wanted to know. I thought that was probably the case but wondered if anyone else knew different.

Hi I would use "Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool".
Download or use your Windows disk to create an ISO.
Use the Downloader to create Windows Installer to USB.
    Boot from USB and repair.

    Thanks for replying.
Perhaps I should have explained more fully. I've resurrected an old laptop and wanted to put in a larger HD. No working DVD drive and no repair or installation disk. Can obviously create a system image on a hard disk but not a recovery disk. Hence my question. Just thought I might have postponed buying a new drive.

No working DVD drive and no repair or installation disk.
    1.To create repair disc/usb:

One way is to use free version of totalmounter.

KernSafe iSCSI initiator, Virtual CD/DVD-RW Emulator, Virtual Encryption Disk and Virtual CD/DVD-ROM Emulator All-in-One free software.

It is a writeable virtual cd/dvd drive. Windows system repair disc creator can write to it, so you can save iso to HD, or copy the contents of the virtual drive to usb

Another way is to use a bach file to create the system repair iso on your HD.

The link below creates a system repair iso on your drive, it also includes a lot of extra fuctions, explorer, browser, disk manangement, etc.

    2. For installation media
Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool

Brilliant. I must admit that I thought that there must be something out there even if I couldn't find it.
