Factory Image D: warning, out of space

I'm constantly receiving a pop-up warning message in the lower right corner of my screen warning me that Factory Image D: is almost out of space. Is there a way to transfer some space from partition C: to the D: partition without jeopardizing my C: drive? This problem appeared when I had to replace my original hard drive with a replacement. The technician "cloned" my old drive onto the replacement hard drive.

Welcome to the forum. Normally nothing writes to recovery partition. Can you see what's writing to it what files are one there

Windows 7 gives me an option to obtain more space by deleting all but the latest Restore Point data, but I'm reluctant to lose all my older Restore Points.
I have 40 kB free of 9.13 GB on D:
I have 382 GB free of 456 GB on C:
I was hoping there would be a convenient way of transferring some of the surplus C: space to the D: partition.

I have used Acronis Disk Director to do as you are wanting to do, however, be forewarned, often there is nothing simple or quick about this process of moving byte-space from adjacent partition 1 to adjacent partition 2. I hope you have made a full image backup of each partition before undertaking this byte-space moving operation.
