That gives me something to go back to, if during the rest of the setup, something goes sideways and I have to do a RESTORE. (that's a C: drive restore, not just a System Restore.)

Thanks for your reply and sharing your experience. Your suggestions do give way for a few questions in my mind. If a System image of the C: drive contains everything on C: drive, why do I also need a backup of C: drive?

When you say 'that's a C: drive restore, not just a System Restore', I really don't undertand the difference between the two here. Can you please tell me?

This is what I was thinking -

A SYSTEM IMAGE of C: drive after installing OS, drivers, personalizing.

Next SYSTEM IMAGE after installing softwares.

Finally a BACKUP of the other drive, the D: drive, on which I store images, videos, ebooks etc.

But what I am wondring is, do I need a SYSTEM IMAGE for the D: drive? Do I need a BACKUP of C: drive?

Thanks again!
