    Weird Folder/Library Duplication

    Hello, my go-to 'puter experts!

Preparing to do a backup on my W7 pc, I have noticed that somehow it seems I have a duplicate My Documents sitting within my Downloads folder. I am needingt to confirm it really exists as a dupe so I can delete the extraneous folder before backing up. Also curious how it could have happened. I do sometimes twitch my mouse finger inadvertantly while in Windows explorer, moving a folder underneath another one - this is quite frustrating but unavoidable: I have tremors.

Don't delete anything, backup as you planned. I think a couple of those duplicates are really internal pointers belonging to Windows Prime. Others here can correct me or back me :)

bam12. Click on the Start Button then click on Computer, then click on Local Drive C, then double click on Users folder & when that opens see if you have more than one My Documents folder showing in the list of folders. If it's showing a folder as Documents-copy, you should be able to delete it safely.

After deleting the copy, check to see if the original My Documents folder is still there. Double click on it & see if it takes you to your Documents & if all seems well, you can empty the Recycle Bin.
