    Hi Tom860,

You appear to have initiated several threads revolving around this or similar issue!

    What do you mean?

    Reinstall Disk

If your referencing obtaining a Win 7 ISO:
    Here:
    TechBench
All editions ( pro, home premium, etc ) can be made available from any windows 7 iso - either by removing the ei.cfg file from the sources folder, or by using
    eicfg_removal_utility.zip

It is a refurbished laptop, which means that someone might have removed the recovery partition at some point.

You can download the recovery image from the Dell website, or you can purchase a set of recovery disks. Here is more information:

Ok, there is no recovery partition; doesn't matter, you can re-install Windows 7 Pro, 32 or 64 bit, from any DVD or USB created from a Windows 7 Pro ISO. You will have to re-install any/all 3rd party programs. And, you might need to enter the appropriate product key at some point.

**If you enact and continue a routine backup operation, you can restore en toto everything easily. Whatever date the backup image was, that is your restore date. I average 2 backups per computer per month. **
