MS Backup keeps failing. I do not understand the error Messages.

    Is my C:\ the problem?
If it is, is there a way to resolve this error.
Please help me understand what I need to do.

Perhaps you should select another back up program. Windows 7 back up is known for it's problems & reliability issues. Most Forum members here prefer Macrium Reflect free & it can be downloaded from the following website.

There is a max size for vhd as it is mbr based.

If you are trying to backup files/folders you can use one of many free programs.

Aomei backupper will do both image backups ( disks\partitions) and file\folder backups.

    Download Free Windows Backup Software

Alternatively you can use Replicator, just for file\folder backups. Replicator uses the zip format for backups so it is easy to access contents without 3rd party tools

I had Acronis, the Western Digital version on my PC. I did not realize it did Backup and Restore functions. I tried them both and they worked. It was the free version. Thanks again for the feedback.
