Can’t backup a network mapped location

Maybe I’m going crazy, but I vividly recall being able to see my networked drives in windows backup as sources. Now only my local drives show up. My problem is that all of my files are housed on a Zfs server and I want to make a backup. Am I crazy? Did something change in windows 7 so we can’t do this any longer?

    Hi Crazyjpeters,

    Welcome to SevenForums!

I know that Aomei Backupper [FREE] can backup networked drives => How to Backup Network Drive to Local Disk in Windows 7.

    These might also be useful:

[1] User Can't Access Mapped Network Drive.
    [2] Cannot Map Network Drive.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Crazyjpeters,

    Update System Specifications

Please update your system specifications in your UserCP > Edit System Spec setup. It will help us to help you!

This SevenForums tutorial [Published by Brink and written by CyberZeus] makes this task very easy and quick to do => System Info - See Your System Specs.

    Thanks.

Have you mapped a drive first before doing backup then it should see it

The drives map just fine. I use them without any issue. They’re served as CIFS/smb from the zfs file server.
