How to restore Firefox bookmarks from system recovery backup files?

    No, I don't have an external backup at the time of crash. Later on, I used an external USB HDD during HP System Recovery for file backup (129 files in .wim extensions). I heard of shadow image, but no experience.

    Indeed hard lesson learned. Thank you for the info.
    I just bought a 2TB WD Passport USB HDD and used three applications to backup my C: drive.


    1. WD Backup software recommended by the WD.
    2. Windows > Control Panel > System and Security > Backup and Restore > Set up and run backup which produces VHD files
    3. Macrium Reflect

    All seem to work well except WD File Select Files is a little flaky and backup speed is slower.

    Also, which Firefox posts have double blank lines between the paragraphs?
