    Transferring data from Android phone

I see most of my music on my old phone in windows explorer. I did a backup and reset prior. I want to transfer the playlist to a new phone. I guess the reset did nothing to the SD card, that is why I still see them. I do not understand why its called "Backup and reset". Did it backup all my data first and then do the reset? If that is the way it works, where do i look for that backup then? Anyway, I assume i could copy all the music files to my pc and then copy them to the new phone. Is that the way it works? Sorry if this is in the wrong area. I did a search for Mobile and found nothing, so i saw Backup here.

If you did a rest on the phone it doesn't touch sd card so you should be able to insert it in new phone and good to go. Other options would be Bluetooth to new phone or USB connect to pc then copy to pc then copy to new phone. Another option is upload to Google drive and you can get them on new phone. Not knowing the phone model doesn't help as some phones have a phone clone option

Thanks, its the LG Rebel 3 LTE phone...not a 'luxury' one. Let me ask you, does the size of the SD card matter? The LG has up to 32 gb's memory card, the old Samsung phone had up to 8 gb, though it could handle up to 64gb's. Would u know if my phone contacts would be on the old memory card?

A lot of phones now handle 128 gig cards but it depends on the phone. A lot of phones you have the option to save contacts to phone or we card if you didn't save them to the card they won't be there depending how your phone was setup contacts are stored on Google often sign-in will bring photos and contacts over from old phone
