Unable to start Backup and Restore on W-7 Pro with all updates.

I can click on it all I want but it will not start.
    Nothing else is running.
Newest thing was Malwarebytes wanting to install a newer Version.
Ran MRT /F:Y before posting this request: nothing bad found.
    Please help if you can.
Then tried a System Restore which failed with a (0xc0000022) error.

    Hi Mike Lynch,
Another infamous M$ System Restore failure!
Did you try <F8> last known good config?

start your computer and begin pressing <F8> at approximately 1 second intervals
you may have to do this a time or two to access that screen.

You can try booting into "Safe Mode with command prompt". Type: rstrui.exe

Tha should prevent antivirus and other annoyances from interfering. If there is still a problem, there is most likely some file corruption on your disk.

Quickest at that point to restore your latest system image, or try a repair install.

    Gentlemen,

I tried both of the suggested methods of recovery.
The first one, <F8> went through it's function but did not change the initial inability to start a Backup.
As an additional note, I did try to start a Restore but had the same symptoms, it would never start, like the Backup.

I then tried Safe Mode with Command Prompts and had an amazing failure.
I am attaching a Snip of what the command rstrui.exe returned after it ran for a while.
I say amazing as the statement it returns about the Anti Virus Running isn't suppose to happen in Safe Mode, right?

I want to try the Repair Install option but I have a concern.
I purchased my System USED from a Refurb Company.
It has run quite well for several years.
When it arrived, it had Windows-7 Pro on it but there wasn't any DVD provided with W-7 Pro on it.
This was stated online when I purchased it and I did not expect a DVD with W-7 Pro on it.

The PC I am currently running on, the one that I cannot Backup or Restore, is an HP 6300 Mini Tower.

I do have a 'Reinstallation DVD" with Windows-7 from a former Dell PC.
Might I be able to use it to do a Repair Install?

"I do have a 'Re-installation DVD" with Windows-7 from a former Dell PC. Might I be able to use it to do a Repair Install?" Is that DVD a w7pro? TrueMS? OEM? We might stumble into a product key/"invalid OS " pot-hole.

backup your activation with dism++ .
    Dism++10.1.1000.100.zip

Unable to start Backup and Restore on W-7 Pro whit all current updates-dism-actbkup.jpg

Then copy the entire dism++ folder somewehere safe - like a usb drive.

Next try the repair install with >>>win7 x64 pro SP1 media<<<. Suggest you disable antivirus before doing that.

You will need to restore activation after the repair install and also get updates - dism++ can do both of those for you.

You will need some space on the drive to do this - at least 20gb. If you have a lot of programs ans settings, it can take a while because the repair install transfers them to the new installation. I have done it often, Great way of freshening everything up.
