Please help recovering after diskpart clean & format mbr
Hi everyone,
I tried to format empty space on my SSD to MBR from GPT, because Windows 10 installer wasn't letting me install my partition on the empty space I created from the Disk Management tool in Win7.
I rebooted my PC with the Win10 DVD inside, got to the Win 10 installation menu, opened up CMD, and ran:
(corrected order of commands in response to SIW2's reply below)
-> diskpart
-> list disk
-> select disk 0 (my SSD)
-> select partition 1 (the 120 GB empty partition)
-> clean
-> convert mbr (sorry, I wrote format mbr before)
When I went back to the partition selection window, the entire SSD was one empty partition, except for that System Reserved partition that Win 7 always creates when installing it.
I then booted on another drive and did no other work on the formatted SSD.
I've been running a ton of programs since: MiniTool partition, iBeesoft data recovery, R-Studio, but I can't find almost anything on the drive.
Disk Management displays the partition style as MBR and iBeesoft data recovery tool says it's FAT12.
I've been browsing a lot of threads online, and one I found here is:
Data Recovery after Diskpart cleaned and created new partition
But it's a bit beyond my understanding =\ . Any help would be appreciated
