Just wondering if this is going to be an issue down the road. Installed new SSD. Cloned the c drive, everything seems to be working fine. But only about half of the updates came along.

A clone is exactly the same as the source.
What you mean by "only about half of the updates came along"?

Sorry if I was unclear. We all know that there are like 250 to 300 updates that are sitting in the windows update folder after a clean install of Windows 7 HP fully updated as of 14/01/20. After I cloned that HDD I only have like half that many.. Maybe it only takes the up to date ones... Hmm.

As I wrote before, a clone is exactly the same as the source.

    Are you referring to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download?
Updates are downloaded to this folder but after installation it can be cleaned.

Open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Windows Update\View update history. Does it show all updates?

You are right Megahertz07. The folders are exactly the same size. I was looking at two different folders, and comparing the update history on windows update page with Installed update folder on my PC. My bad thanks for clearing it up.

Glad you don't have any issue, just a misunderstand.

I thought some WUs only appear after earlier WUs have been downloaded and installed successfully.
