use or not acronis wd special edition free for wd

    Hi, everyone,
What you think about the free special version 2016/dec. of acronis special for wd?

I intend to make an image backup from my w7 home premium 64 bits before upgrade to w-10 after the new build 2004 on may

(i will give some 1 or 2 months because a new version maybe bring some bug yet on build 2004).

I ve heard old version of acronis is better than the new edition, and also I ve read somebody preferring aomei (UI too much easy for a novice like me)

    and macrium free

(macrium I suppose is difficult for me, learning curve...) and aomei maybe some bugs.

    kind regards,

Any of them will probably do the job. Aomei is the simplest to use.

I haven't looked at thge acronis offerings for a while. As I recall the "free" versions are very limited in functionality and depend on having at least one disk from the oem ( e.g. WD ) attached.

There is a technician workaround for that last restriction, but the "free" acronis things are very basic.

    Thank you!

I want the basic: only to make an image and restore.
The WD Acronis in free (I have 2 HD WD) Internal and External.
It is the version 2016 december
(I have seen that some sites call 2017, but it is made at 2016).
