    Will Acronis OVERwrite my external Backup Drive Data?


    I need to create a Clone using Acronis.

    I have a WD External Drive I use for my Backup Drive and Picasa Archive.

    Can I do an Acronis Clone to this Drive without overwriting the data it currently contains?

    A clone will overwrite whatever it is pointed at.

    A DISK clone will overwrite the target disk

    With most programs, a PARTITION clone will overwrite the target partition or the target unallocated space ( whichever you have pointed it at ) leaving the rest of the disk intact
