    Can cloning be done via a cross over cable?

    Not wanting to be rude, I have spent days reading how it was done without using a cross over cable.

    My interest is: Can cloning be done via a cross over cable, ONLY?

    If it can, I'd greatly appreciate your feedback.

    @samuria

    What is the FASTEST way to do it?

    Older HP Desktop to a newer HP Desktop.

    Windows-7 to Windows-7 PRO 64 on both.
    PLUS
    Windows-10 to Windows-10 PRO 64 on both.

    Image the old drive with Macrium Free. Restore the image to the new computer. If you need Macrium Free:

    Just a moment...

    The new drive needs to be as larger or larger than the old.
