Note:
I haven't played with it yet and I don't consider myself to be an expert in this area, so these are just my opinions. :)
I downloaded Macrium DiskRestore for MR v4.
v4: Macrium Reflect DiskRestore (DiskRestore, Restore, v4)
I don't know if that version works with earlier versions of MR (probable) or MR v5 (possible).
I got the impression that MR v5 came with it.
The discussion centred on Macrium Reflect versions 4 and 5
I guess that depends on Macrium.
According to the comments MR v5 supports MR v4 images.
Whether it will support future versions is unknown (IMO).
I'm fairly sure that MR v5 was able to mount my MR v4 images.
With these sort of programs I normally use a rewritable disc.
If it goes out-of-date, I just create a new disc and use the old one for something else.
According to the comments MR v5 supports MR v4 images.
I'm fairly sure that MR v5 was able to mount my MR v4 images.
I guess that depends on Macrium and MS.
The discussions were between August and October 2011, so they should still be relevant.
It's a good idea to burn a new recovery disk, although, If you are not having problems with your current one its not absolutely necessary. Macrium images are both forwards and backwards compatible. You can restore a v5 image with a v4 recovery disk and vice versa.
Read GeneO's finding here.> Careful restoring from free Macrium w/boot CD and counting on backup
Make sure you burn the newest version of Macrium Rescue CD v5.0.4196
A major fix for original v5.0 Rescue CD was done. Do not keep or use the old one. v5.0.4076
This is for the Linux Rescue CD if anyone was wondering.

Exact release date I am unsure. This is when I was prompted to download.
There is a patch/update for v5.0.
From reading the details you will need to make a new WinPE disk if that is what you use.
Linux CD does not appear effected though bugs with Macrium have been patched so the Linux CD will work properly.
This is from my understanding of the bug/fix list Macrium showed before I clicked the update button.
I should have copied the fix list but didn't think about it.
Unless users have tight bandwidth limitations I would recommend you download the WAIK. Macrium will guide you. It's a once only download and from then on any pe disk upgrade will use it. Making any new pe disk will be quick and easy.
You can choose an option to create an ISO which works fine on a multiBoot USB.
There is also a Macrium capability on the Hirens 15.1 CD but I would recommend your own pe Disk/ISO.
Yumi is good if you need other tools on a multiboot USB.YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator (Windows) | USB Pen Drive Linux but there is also an option to write the ISO to a USB stick when you create it without any other software.
