Michael, they eased it a little bit. Instead of the full 1.7GB Waik, they now download only a 500+MB portion. But now that is compulsory if you want to install Macrium.
Thanks Wolfgang - good for me and others to know.

V6 also has an issue with the WinPE (Problems extending an NTFS filesystem).

    Bug Fixes 6.0.545:

Problem extending an NTFS file system when restoring
An NTFS file system could be corrupted by extending the partition size on restore.
Please re-create your rescue media to apply this fix in Windows PE.
So update and rebuild the PE.

It says download trial. I get in trouble when I download anything. I'm presently trying to restore my files the hard way since nothing I try to do on this machine works. I'm still trying to get my printer to print!

    Not a happy man.

This is just a comment about something I discovered today about Macrium Reflect, version 5.x, that might be of benefit to someone. I found out today (the hard way, of course) that MR will fail to make an image if Windows Media Center is recording at the same time. MR will work fine with WMC running as long as it isn't recording. I discovered something similar a couple years ago. Running MR while Speccy is running will cause similar problems.

Of course, the obvious solution is to not run WMC and/or Speccy when running MR.
