Restore My Videos folder to user account

OK I have lost 'My Videos' folder from within my user profile and I want to restore it.

I have searched and search and found ways to do many other things related to the user folders but none show how to get it back after its deleted.

    Win 7 Home Premium x64

I lost it when I swapped in a new hdd and had to move where all my videos were. I had previously altered the location property to where they were stored. But when the new drive was added and the old one removed ... there was a drive change and the My Video link became white and had no editable properties.

So I guess i did this
    1. Moved the location of My Video folder to Drive: F/Videos
    2. Removed the Hdd with F:/My Videos
    3. Added HDD with G:/My Videos
    4. Now in my user folders i have no 'My Videos' folder

Is there a way to create a new folder in the user account ... and get it to have a location tab??

The very easiest would be to create a folder wherever you like and include it into the library (which I assume is still there).

When you click on Videos, your videos library with all it's folders will appear. So I do not see a problem there. But you can also try the link that derekimo has posted. That should do too - if you are lucky.

Thanks for the replies. Sorted it now.

Had used that link already Derekimo .... but tried again ... I manually went into regedit and set it to where i wanted it the video folder to be ...
Then Created a normal folder in c:\users\my account\ called Videos
Restarted pc - merged the registry restore file from the link in here https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...-location.html
Restarted pc again ... tada! ... My videos folder was back in my account. Was then able to edit the location as normal - thru the location tab in properties.

Fleishman, congratulations. I understand that you like things to be tidy and since you seem to be skillful, that is one way to go. I am more the pragmatic type who will go for the easiest solution. And since I reinstall my systems every 6 months (from an early image - not from the recovery partition or disk), things will come back to normal then. I guess everybody has their own preferences.
