Can you restart in the middle of a backup?

    Hello all,

Does anyone know if you can restart your computer in the middle of a backup using the Backup and Restore Centre? I would normally have no problems trying this out myself, but I'm in the middle of a very large backup and I'm not too keen on restarting unless I know that Windows 7 can resume the backup process.

You also risk losing some/all of your data if you do this...

3 things that should never be interrupted by powering down or running other apps:
    System Updates
    Virus/Malware scanning
    Creating a backup/image.

Thanks for your advice - I'll let the backup run its course in peace.

There's one more: BitLocking your hard drive. Someone once made a post where he/she lost all his/her data because of power failure while he/she was BitLocking his/her drive.
