I don't see an option to turn it off. Is there one? Or should I just uninstall it?
And I will turn System restore off.

Options was under Tools, but I disabled it.
When I got to system restore, it said No restore points have been created...
It would never create more than a couple although it said it was.
That's funny, but anyway I turned restore points off for drive C:
What's also funny is F: didn't switch to E: as we thought it would.
There is just no E: now.

you might want to check MSCONFIG startup tab and uncheck all unneeded programs from startup tab and hide all MS Services then uncheck any uneeded services there maybe something that is starting with Windows that is jamming things up here

I did and re-booted and it still came up listed as F:!
A long box came up listing things the new drive could be used for and at the bottom
was Backup, which I clicked on and it still got the same error.

But, why did F: not change to E:? I rebooted twice and the 1st time I just turned
F: off and the 2nd time I physically unplugged the USB cable and when it
came up it was still F:

Same thing and almost everything that starts up was disabled.
I know this because I have no virus or spyware protection and almost
nothing else in the bottom right pane.
