I believe RC starts shutting down every two hours now until June 1st when it actually stops working. It should give you plenty of opportunity to retrieve your files.

If you want to safeguard your files now, use an external drive or DVD's.

If you don't have those, shrink Win7 and copy your files to a logical data partition you create in the shrink space. They will still be there once you wipe the Win7 partition to clean install Win7 retail.

No, Microsoft will give it all back to you if you ask nicely...

Of course you'll lose your data if you don't back it up and do a fresh installation

Fresh Installation = clean, wiped , all data gone bye-bye.
