System Restore not working?

    Sounds like that's more trouble than it's worth to me, when other AV's don't hinder System Restore.

    I never really run system restore so it's not really a hinderance to me. If I have a serious problem, I'll just re-image the hard drive.

    I do like the fact that it does stop those changes from happening from a security stand point.

    very good that had occurred to me. how would i stop it and why do some changes happen even if SR says they don't

    Have you tried running the silent mode for the system restore?

    Open Norton, go to "Misc Settings", locate "Norton Product Tamper Protection" and turn it off...

    Save settings, reboot, and run System Restore.

    After completing SR remember go back into Norton and turn on "Norton Product Tamper Protection"

    I assume that will also allow you to disable Norton from the services list.

    Yes it worked. I turned on silent mode and turned off Norton Tamper Protection. Could not disable in services as its greyed out. Many thanks guys, much appreciated
