There should be a some sort of logo or marking on your computer case to indicate what brand it is. If you have a manual for your computer, it should tell you there as well.
When you restart your computer, most OEM computers will also have a splash screen with their name on it during bootup briefly.
Another option is to open the Start Menu, click on "All Programs", "Accessories", "System Tools", and "System Information". In the right pane of System Information, look under "System Manufacturer" to see if it tells you what brand your computer is.
I'm guessing based on what has been said so far that perhaps it is not a system built by a major manufacturer.
Hi cycletech
Be sure to backup whatever you need to save (documents, music etc) to removable media (external hard-disk drive, DVD, USB-Drive etc.) before proceeding with the restore i.e. system restore or to factory default.
