    how to restore factory settings?

    Hello guys,

I think that my system does not work correctly because i used ccleaner and its functions for four times every other day. i do not know but i may see some changes on my system, like show known extensions, change folder view and etc.

I want to know how i can restore factory settings?

    Thank you, :)

    You need several things.

first a restore dvd (or win 7 dvd)
you should have a "restore" partition on your hard drive

    Do you have these things?

    Hello cyletech.

The first thing to try is a system restore to a point before you made the changes with CCleaner, have a look at the tutorial at the link below.

Be sure to keep us informed as to how it sorts out.

Do you mean i have to backup (get a point by system restore option) before working with CCleaner or programs like that?

    Hello Cyletech,

What brand of computer do you have? If it comes down to having to do a full factory restore, I'll see if I can't find the instructions for you for how.

However, first you should see if you may be able to do a system restore using a restore point dated before you had these problems to be able to fix this without have to start all over with a fresh install.

Yes, it's usually best and safer to create a restore point before you or any program make any changes to the system. This way if the change causes a problem, you can easil undo it by doing a system restore back to that restore point date. :)

    Hope this helps for now,
