    Macrium Reflect

I have downloaded and used Macrium Reflect Free Version to do a backup of my system, then I created a boot disk and done a restore.
I found it quite good and easy to use but was wondering if I can restore single folders or files with this software.
If anyone has any information on this I would be grateful of any info on how to do it.
    Thanks

Yes you can. Easiest is to double click on the backup image, Macrium will then open/mount it in a virtual drive (will look just like your C drive, only with a different letter) and you can pick and choose what you want to copy from it there.

    Thanks
I tried that double clicking the backup image that listed all the files and folders in the backup and as you say the drive has a different letter.
Now I would like to know that if I select one of the listed folders to restore what then?
I can see an option to Burn I do not suppose thats it.

You should be able to do a simple copy and paste of any files or folders you want from the backup (at least it lets me do it).

    Thanks
I never thought of copy and paste (must be getting thick in my old age)

    Many thanks

I use Reflect as well and extremely pleased with it. I love trying new things on my laptop and if it goes astray, I am back up in 10 minutes.

btw on Macrium Forum I was tipped off to a beta tool for making VHDs from Macrium images. You can download from this blog. The blog also has instructions for use with VirtualBox:

I have my own problem concerning m reflect.

I'd like to transfer a disc image onto other hard drives and install in different machines.

I did so without problem but when I go to load windows for the first time it keeps rebooting. If I go to do a recovery with the windows xp disc it says ntldr is missing please reboot system and I can never actually get into windows or repair it.
