    System Restore Points disappear?

I was really stressed over my problem with brightness and then i decided to check ccleaner, use the tools section yesterday to delete some startup items.

After that i checked my system restore points and i had around 6-7.

Strange enough, i did a defragging that night and then i come tonight to see what system restore points i have through Windows System Restore and there are none!!

I go back to ccleaner, and it also reports that i have none!

How do system restore points disappear??????

Defrag the drive with the Restore Points they will vanish. May not happen every ocassion, but it happens enough.

    lol but why??
If defragging is a good practice around once a week and making system restore points often are a good practice, what's the point of one deleting the other..

i thoguht defragging just moves clusters around

JK Defrag removes system restore points

Im just the messenger, I cant explain it.

The restore points should be on a separate drive that you do not format.

In addition defragging once a week is not good, it may be the default setting, but not good. Unless you install and uninstall a lot 3 or 4 times a year is all that is needed.
