    shadow copy

Is "Previous Versions" (shadow copy) available in Win 7 Home Premium? When I right-click a file or folder and choose Properties, the "Previous Versions" tab does not appear.

    Please help. Thanks

Go to services.msc and check whether Volume Shadow Copy service is running or not.

Can you take a screenshot please? Also, you are sure there even is a previous version of that file? :)

The "Previous Versions" feature is available in the Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions of Windows VIsta, and in all Windows 7 editions.
Now we just need to find out where that tab is..
    Its right here:

I know where it is, he just said it wasn't showing up

Can you go into Control Panel > System and Security > System > system protection on the left

Make sure you have the correct options in configure set

Thanks for your help. I now have the "Previous Versions" tab. I opened services.msc, but the Status field was blank. I then right-clicked on Volume Shadow Copy and chose Start.
