Hey, does this work for Intel Xeon CPUs ?
Worrywart here
I'm not a fan of installed bios accessible utilities like this because I believe they are ultimately a bios security risk waiting to happen,
There was a security news article saying bios malware is on the rise if it's true or not this type of utility I'm sure makes it easier to access the back doors opened by these utilities
Whether it's asus ai suite 2 or this one from Intel
I did have 1 issue with ai suite 2 with a failed over clock shutdown
On a normal oc via bios the shutdown from a failed oc the bios would be reset when you land back to the bios after the failure = all good reset bios and your good to restart to login,
A failed oc using one of these even after bios reset would take you back to login and desktop where the utility might still be running the oc that failed causing another failure possibly
So this could be a can of worms waiting to happen.
I was lucky the failed oc was because I had a few innocent items adjusted in bios mostly fans and a performance power setting.
So if anyone uses this type of utility make sure your bios is at default levels to begin with before using the oc capabilities in the utility
Also research the back doors this type of utility uses to change the bios though the os's user interface because that is my biggest concern
Not making it easier for the bad guys to turn expensive hardware into large paperweights
I would never use software to OC a cpu.
Just run the benchmark, don`t make any changes with it
Numbers well I look at it like this
If things work = things work so I have my own numbering system :)
Benchmarks seem all over the place and make very little sense in real usage.
