    Printer Friendly popups won't appear

I have online banking arrangements with two (2) different Canadian banks. Both of those are listed in my trusted sites for security settings. Despite that, the printer friendly popups for printing receipts, transfers, etc. will NOT appear. IE8 seems to freeze and only resumes operation when I open the Taxk Manager (the threat of a pre-emptive termination seems to work wonders with "Not Responding" issues). Any suggestions???

    Try this

    Internet Explorer - Reset

    Tools
    Internet Options
    Advanced
    Reset
You are removing all the addos, which probably cause the problem. You wlil have to reinstall eg pdf etc.

What are the things that will go away on a reset, e.g. will I lose all of my bookmark groups and items (have invested a lot of time over the years grooming that list)???

Back in the early days of my work experience, a wiser man than I told me that "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing". Should have kept that in mind.

I tried disabling a number of the add-ons and removing others. Now I have damaged my Simply Accounting display and a re-install of that program did not repair that damage. Re-enabling the various items didn't help either so I guess the problem is one or more of the accelerators that I deleted.

At this point I've developed a work-around for the damage and I'm going to leave it alone in the hopes that future system updates will eventually repair the damage I've caused.

Thanks for taking the time to try and help me.

The most recent "issue" has now been resolved. The problem that cropped up with Simply Accounting was apparently unique to that program (everything else running as usual) so I called their tech support.

After a brief session on GoToAssist, the issue with Simply Accounting is 100% fixed.

As for the IE8 issues, I think I'll just complain directly to my banker and let their systems people fight with Microsoft to resolve it. Thanks for the try. I'll get back to work now......

    Bruce,
The great thing about this forum is that it is for ideas. You post and others will give you ideas on solutions. Then you have the information to make the best decision for yourself. You seemed to have done that, so I think that this thread was a success and proves the value of this Forum.
